Eligibility criteria
To apply for an Energy Efficiency Loan, you must satisfy the following criteria:
- Resident of Mauritius
- Aged between 18 to 65 years (loan to terminate at 65 years or retirement age)
- Earn a minimum monthly income of MUR 25,000
Criteria mentioned above are for indicative purposes only. Customers are recommended to talk to a branch representative for more details.
Documents required for an Energy Efficiency Loan application:
- Proof of identity – (National Identity Card or Passport)
- For fixed income: last 3 salary slips (or latest month salary slip if salary is credited to an HSBC account)
For variable income: last 12 months' salary slips. - Bank statements for the last 2 months (if salary is not credited to a HSBC account)
- Latest utility bill - e.g. Central Electricity Board (CEB), Central Water Authority (CWA), or Mauritius Telecom (MT)
Note:
To avail of the Energy Efficiency Loan interest rate and benefits, a copy of the original receipt of the product purchased should be produced (after your loan is disbursed)
