Re1 = 1 Rewards point
Starting 1 January 2016, for every rupee you spend on your HSBC credit card for purchases, you earn one rewards point.

You accumulate your rewards points and increase your rewards points balance on an ongoing basis until you redeem your points or until they expire.
How does it work?
- Rewards points are valid for a period of 2 years as from month of purchase. For e.g. rewards points, awarded in February 2016, will be available for redemption until end of February 2018
- Rewards points will therefore expire after two years if not redeemed prior to the expiry date. In the above example, rewards points, which have not been redeemed before end of February 2018, will expire on 1st March 2018
- Expired rewards points cannot be redeemed and will be deducted from your rewards points balance

Missing Rewards points to redeem for higher Rewards?
Purchase rewards points in multiples of 10,000 to top up your current rewards points balance. Rs. 40 will be debited from your card account for each 10,000 rewards points purchased. E.g.: You have 1,982,000 rewards points.

How to redeem?
Call HSBC Contact Centre to obtain the number of rewards points available on your credit card account. You choose if you want to accumulate more rewards points or redeem for your preferred gift vouchers, cash back or charity for donation.
If you choose to redeem, download a copy of the redemption form, then:
- Print, complete and sign the form
- Send us the signed form as follows: Deposit the form in the nearest HSBC Branch or mail the redemption form to HSBC Cards Operations, Icon Ebene, Level 5, Office 1 West Wing, Rue de l'Institut, 72202, Mauritius
Alternatively, email your choice of redemption through HSBC online banking service only.
Your vouchers and/or donation letter will be sent by registered post to your mailing address. Cash back and purchase of rewards points will normally appear in your credit card statement issued on the following month after your redemption has been processed
