Education

HSBC believes that support for primary and secondary education, in particular for underprivileged children, is crucial to the future development and prosperity of every country. The aim of HSBC's education initiatives is to provide access to formal and non formal education, mainly for people from disadvantaged backgrounds who might not otherwise get the opportunity.

Main focuses of HSBC Mauritius in education are:

Financial Education

Living Finance

HSBC Living Finance is a financial education programme that aims to help people develop the knowledge and skills required to inspire them to set financial goals. It will also help them to make informed and confident financial decisions and have the tools to plan a better future.

Through this programme, HSBC Mauritius is giving the chance to young people to learn to manage their money from a young age, as the earlier they plan, the better their chances of reaching their financial goals. Till now, 27 volunteers from HSBC performed 9 sessions in Bureau d'Education Catholique (BEC) schools, involving 777 secondary year students.
